Door lock & alarm

You will have been given a code to use throughout your stay. This code will lock and unlock the front door. We rarely turn on the alarm as we are in a safe neighborhood and are very close with our neighbors but please feel free to use it after a discussion with us. This code will expire after your stay.

Wireless Internet

• The router is located in the back utility room. Please don’t play around with these wires.

• Despite having the fastest package through Starlink it can sometimes shut down altogether depending on the weather., but usually only for 30 seconds at a time. If that’s the case, we find a great alternative is sitting outside with a glass of wine!

Sonos

• Like music? Good, so do we! If you haven’t downloaded the app yet you can do so on the App Store. Once you have the app, make sure that you are logged into The Meadow House wifi, and you should be able to find the “living room” speaker on the app. From there, you can stream from any of your favorite streaming services.

Toilets

• We are on a septic tank so please remember not to put anything abnormal down the toilet. Unfortunately, if this happens we will have to get the septic  tank flushed and will pass the charge on to you.

Water

• It’s ok to drink! We have two types of water filtrations at the house so the water is safe.

Wind

• It often gets quite windy outside so we ask that you keep the chairs tucked in, and avoid leaving loose items outside.

Laundry

• Feel free to use the laundry if needed. When done, please leave the washing machine door open to dry out.

Garbage/Recycling

• Our cleaner will come and get it once you have checked out however if you have extra during your stay you can leave in the black or blue bins in the garage (one for garbage, one for recycling)

AC/Heat

• We have installed two ductless AC systems (one in main area and one in master bedroom). Each has it’s own remote control. The remote for the master unit is mounted on the wall in the master, and the remote for the main living area is located inside of the cupboard door to the left of the fridge.

• The house is heated through an in-floor heating system. The thermostat is located in the laundry room should you need to use it.

TV

• This is a smart TV with access to Apple TV. Through Apple TV you can use any apps that you have services for or that are already set up. Use the Apple TV small black remote to turn on the TV and Apple TV. This should get you to the home page where you can choose the app of your choice.

• Please do not purchase anything on the AppleTV.

Record Player

• We have a brand new record player in the house and a growing collection of vinyls. To operate: 1/ place chosen record on player 2/ turn player on using the switch on the bottom eft of the player 3/ carefully put arm over the vinyl 4/ use the lever to lower the arm. The player is hooked up to Sonos, so once you have the app downloaded choose “line in”

Towels

• Please use only the black face cloths provided to remove makeup.
